A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent email addresses under the same domain name. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting
In case you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel includes quite a few features, but it’s incredibly simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just one click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you’ll simply have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the respective address. Our system will inform you if there is already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes yet another mouse click on the very same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all feature can be enabled with ease if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be enumerated in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll see a small-size logo conveniently situated directly next to each one of them. With only a click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature through the menu that will appear. In case any of the requirements for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will warn you, but will not replace or deactivate anything automatically.
